Here are some photos I made about 20 years ago with either a cheap disposable or a cheap plastic camera, with fixed shutter & f number, no flash, no batteries, just point & shoot. You can click on them to enlarge.
The advantages of a disposable or simple camera, are obviously, it's ease of use, just simply point & shoot. No worrying about shutter speed, f numbers, not even focusing. No shutter delay, or the view finder blacking out. They have big clear view finders with no flashing lights or any other distractions, so you can concentrate on the important part, composition & framing. They're also light and easy to carry around when travelling, you dont have to worry about anyone stealing it, or recharging batteries. Perfectly acceptable results can be achieved by just developing the film as it is or you could get the negatives scanned and put onto disk, then adjust them in a photo editing software on your computer, just as could be done in a dark room. Toy cameras such as Holga & Lomo (you can find them in my Camera store) seem to be more popular than ever at the moment, but why pay out for one of those, which take difficult to find 120 film. ( you can find that too in my store) When you could buy a whole camera, already loaded with film, often including flash, and possibly including processing all for possibly less than a roll of 120 film! If you want to improve your composition and framing skills, or just tired of digital perfection, try a disposable. Why not visit my camera store to view a whole range of disposable and toy cameras, as well as other cameras, mobile phones (the camera that's always with you) and photography books too. Click on an image and you can read buyers reviews on the products too, like;
But remember its better to spend money on taking photos than buying cameras and equipment. Cameras don't take photos.
I've just remembered about a fisherman I once knew. Every few weeks he would buy a new rod or reel, or some piece of equipment. I asked him if he caught many fish. "No" he replied "I cant afford to go fishing." !!
