URBAN MACRO ABSTRACT PHOTOGRAPHY
A series of abstract photos of close up urban details, the series below is from an old military defense gun emplacement, made of concrete. These abstract landscapes are created naturally over time from the weathering and ageing of the concrete and rust from bolts and nails in the walls.
In this series I have tried to show that even simple neglected often over looked mundane and in this case, ugly and terrible place, have beauty hidden within them.
Within each of these photos which at first sight may seem to be random interesting patterns and textures are carefully selected areas which contain abstract landscapes, animals and people.
Edited with a minimal amount of adjustments to brightness and contrast if needed.
These photos have not been manipulated and can be seen in situ on the west coast of Scotland near Poolewe.
Available as prints from my shop.
